5 easy steps to your perfect event

Planning an event of any size can be overwhelming for many, but the food portion of your planning really boils down to five easy steps. (Besides, we're here to help and provide guidance every step of the way.)

Step 1

Select your venue

This should always be your first step because your choice of venue may affect other decisions. Things to consider when choosing a venue include experience (20+ for Jonathan Byrd's!), size (we can accommodate anywhere from 30-600 people), professionalism of staff (ours are friendly, too), amenities (yup), and, of course, quality of food (that's a given here!).
Step 2

Select you serving style

Next choice: plated meal or a buffet. A plated meal offers a more private reception with dinner is served to your guests, while a buffet allows your guests the opportunity to get up and move around and socialize while serving themselves.
Step 3

Select your tableware

This one's easy: Do you want your meal presented on fine china with silverware, or high-quality disposable plateware and cutlery?
Step 4

Choose additional selections

Now it gets fun! You get to choose your menu, which includes the main dish and sides. You can also add appetizers and dessert if you wish. This is also the point where you can choose other amenities, such as chair covers, a dance floor, audio/visual support and more.
Step 5

Decide on beverage and bar service

You can go basic – water, iced tea and coffee – or more elaborate with a full-service bar. And most places (including ours!) have options for everything in between.
