- At our main facility we have nine room options to choose from. We also cater to various locations across central Indiana. Please call our office to get additional information about your options. You will also find information on our website about possible locations.
- What amenities are included?
- Amenities range from microphone with podium and high-speed internet to full china, linen tablecloths, linen napkins, centerpieces and servers waiting on event guests. Weddings include a signature Jonathan Byrd’s wedding cake with cake cutting/serving.
- How many people can you accommodate at your facility?
- Whether it’s a small business meeting with just a few people or a formal event with hundreds, we can accommodate you. We have room to host up to six hundred guest banquet style or one thousand guest theatre style. We also cater to various locations across central Indiana. We have catered events for as small as twenty people to as large as thirty thousand people. Please call our office to get additional information about your options.
- Do you offer services and/or items other than food service?
- The simple answer is yes both for banquets and/or outside caterings we offer a host of services. At Jonathan Byrd’s we feel it’s our responsibility to make your job planning your event as easy as possible. We can get invitations / wedding accessories, tent, ice sculpture, party favors, transportation, entertainment etc. Please call the office or view our website to check out the many different services we can provide for you and the event you are hosting.
- Are there hotels close by?
- We have three hotels within walking distance of our main facility and many others that are close by. There are also many area attractions for you to enjoy. Please call our office or view on our website a complete list of available hotels and area attractions.
- Do you allow smoking?
- Jonathan Byrd’s is a non-smoking facility.
- Do you allow alcohol?
- Jonathan Byrd’s main facility serves beer, wine and champagne. We can also cater to off-premise locations and take care of your entire alcohol service. Please call the office for help in finding a location for your next event.
- Do you allow leftover food to be taken home?
- Due to the board of health regulations the answer is no. The only exception is in the case where we are dropping off the food only and it’s for less than forty people.
- Can I bring in my own food and/or cake?
- All food must be provided by Jonathan Byrd’s. The only exception is in the case of a wedding cake. If a cake is brought in, it must come from a licensed and insured bakery. A certificate of insurance (with a minimum coverage of one million dollars), naming Jonathan Byrd’s as an additional insured, must be on file at Jonathan Byrd’s office prior to the event. Absolutely no homemade cakes are allowed. In the event you bring in a cake, additional charges will apply for Jonathan Byrd’s staff to cut and serve the cake.
- How soon should I schedule my event?
- Like anything, the sooner the better. It’s never too early to book an event; some clients’ book years in advance to insure particular dates & times. Some days are preferred more than others, especially on weekends and evenings. It’s as simple as a phone call to our office to book a date & time. If you do contact us about a particular date & time, you must make a reservation to hold that date & time.
- Do I need to guarantee my reservation?
- Yes. You need to guarantee your reservation (date & time) by placing a non-refundable deposit, which goes towards your total bill.
- When is my deposit due?
- Your non-refundable deposit is due upon the reservation unless special arrangements have been made with your event coordinator. The amount of the deposit will vary based upon the type/size of the function, but generally ranges anywhere from $200.00 - $1,000.00.
- Can I cancel my reservation?
- We can put a temporary hold for a date & time for 24hrs. Once you confirm your reservation (date & time) and a deposit has been made, it becomes non-refundable. In the event you must cancel, the deposit may be applied to a future date if held within thirty days of the event that was cancelled. No cash refund will be given.
- What forms of payment do you take?
- We accept Cash or Check (Business and/or Personal). You may also charge using your Visa, Master Card or American Express.

- We serve a wide range of clients whether it’s business, social, formal, informal, large or small.
- Why should I use Jonathan Byrd’s Banquet Facility?
- We have been in business over twenty years. We operate the worlds largest cafeteria, banquet and catering facility. To date we have served over ten million people. Our facility is both beautiful and elegant. We take pride in the upkeep of our facility so that you have a wonderful event. - We are “The Official Catering Company of the Indianapolis Colts.” We stop at nothing less than offering the best quality and service one could hope for. Whether it’s an event at one of our exclusive venues or one of your choice.
- Locations served for outside caterings?
- We are “The Official Catering Company of the Indianapolis Colts.” The Indianapolis Colts Complex is located on Indy’s Westside. We have exclusive rights to the Odyssey Banquet & Conference Center in Franklin. The Historic Paramount Theatre & Ballroom in Anderson. We cater all over central Indiana at other locations. - Are there delivery and/or additional charges for outside caterings?
- All of our packages are all inclusive and have no hidden charges. The price you see per person on the menu is the price you pay which includes everything listed on that particular menu. The only extra charges (which are also listed on each menu) are a 17% service charge and any applicable sales/county taxes. The only exception is with our wedding packages which will only have applicable sales/county taxes added to the cost that is printed on the menu.
- Employee dress/appearance/character
- Our employee dress, appearance & character are very important to us. Each employee will have a uniform which consists of a white button up shirt with a collar & black bow tie, black vest, black pants and black shoes. We want to present the best image possible; not only for you the client but for Jonathan Byrd’s as well. Each of our employees will strive to make sure your event is exceptional. - Do you offer wedding packages?
- We do offer wedding packages that cover everything from your meal to your dance floor & entertainment. We can also take care of your wedding invitations and accessories. We do all that we can to make sure your wedding plans are as easy as possible by being able to take care of so many things. - Can you make cakes?
- Yes, we can make cakes and many other bakery items! Jonathan Byrd’s operates a full service bakery that makes bread, rolls, muffins, cookies/bars, fresh pastries, pies and many different types of cakes everyday. (Wedding, Anniversary, Graduation Etc.) No matter what the design, our full time creative decorators can do it all. Our cakes have many different flavors, fillings & unlimited design options. You can bring in your own design and/or pictures. You can also call the office to set-up a time to look through our photo albums. This will help you come up with the perfect cake.
